Kilbane Earns CCAC Women’s Golfer of the Year for the Second Time

CHICAGO – For the second year in a row, junior Hannah Kilbane (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) was named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Women's Golfer of the Year for the Saint Xavier University women's golf team when the awards were announced by the league office Thursday. Kilbane earned four CCAC Women's Golfer of the Week awards this season and is now a three-time All-CCAC First Team honoree. Joining her on the All-CCAC Team was senior Maddy Palmer (Joliet, Ill./Joliet Central), who was named to the All-CCAC Second Team and is her first All-CCAC selection.
  • Kilbane has won her last four tournaments that she has participated in, including the CCAC Women's Tournament for the second time in three seasons on April 18. She also finished in a tie for first at the Governors State University (Ill.) Jaguar Invitational on September 7, along with Palmer.
  • Palmer had three Top 10 finishes on the season and tied Kilbane for first at the GSU Invitational.
  • The duo helped SXU earn the team title at the CCAC Women's Golf Tournament and an automatic berth into the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship Tournament that will also be held at TPC Deere Run. The Cougars are making their first appearance in the national championship tournament since 2015 and Kilbane qualified as an individual after winning the CCAC Tournament as a freshman in 2021.
Saint Xavier prepares for the NAIA Women's Golf Nationals Championships that begin on Tuesday, May 23. The four-day tournament will also be held at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill.
