Winona Lake, Ind. – The Saint Xavier University women's golf team finished 10th out of 10 teams with a two-day score of 805 (+237) at the Grace College (Ind.) Stonehenge Invitational at Stonehenge Golf Course in Winona Lake, Ind. that began on Monday, September 29 and concluded this afternoon. The Cougars shot a team score of 404 on day one, and they lowered their total by three strokes on day two with a score of 401. Taylor University (Ind.) won the tournament with a team mark of 603 (+35). The Trojans had the top three individual scorers, with Eleanor Schuitema taking the individual crown with a two-day score of 142 (E) with rounds of 74 and 68.
- Junior Maddie Davis (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) tied for 41st overall with a score of 181 (+39). She shot a round of 91 on Monday, and she lowered her score by a shot on Tuesday, completing the tournament with a round of 90.
- Sophomore Brooke Visser (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) was only two strokes behind her teammate, placing 43rd with a mark of 183 (+43). She turned in a card of 96 in round one. Visser improved her score by nine shots in round two with a score of 87.
- Junior Isabella Tor (Lockport, Ill./Lockport Township) finished 51st with a two-day tally of 211 (+69). She posted a round of 102 on Monday, followed by a round of 109 on Tuesday.
- Freshman Ava Nowacki (Oak Lawn, Ill./St. Laurence) was 54th overall with a score of 230 (+88). She started the tournament with a score of 115 after her first 18-hole loop. Nowacki duplicated her score with another round of 115 on day two.
Saint Xavier concludes the Fall portion of its schedule on Friday, October 24 when they start competition in the two-day Holy Cross College (Ind.) Invite at Rock Hollow Golf Course in Peru, Ind.
