Lexi Clarke (Plainfield, Ill./Joliet JC/Plainfield South) claimed the final Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week award for the Saint Xavier University women's track and field team when the awards were announced by the league office Tuesday morning. She was a member of the 4x800 Relay team, along with junior
Yanira Deana Paninka (Canary Island, Spain/Central Methodist/IES Jandia), senior
Kristin Booker (St. Louis, Mo./Cardinal Ritter) and senior
Olivia Mathis (Akron, Ohio/Lourdes/St Vincent-St. Mary) to hit the NAIA 'A' Standard at the Drake University (Iowa) Relays last Thursday. Clarke set a new personal record in the 800m (PR) with her first-place finish two days later at the Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) Outdoor Open on Saturday.
- Clarke and her teammates posted the second-fastest time in program history, taking sixth overall with a time of 9:16.57 in the College/University race.
- In the 800m in Bourbonnais, Ill. she recorded a time of 2:15.46 to win the race for the second time in her SXU career. Clarke bested her old PR by over a second.
