CHICAGO – Five members from the Saint Xavier University women's cross country and track & field teams were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team when the awards were announced Tuesday afternoon. Senior
Kristin Booker (St. Louis, Mo./Cardinal Ritter), senior
Lexi Clarke (Plainfield, Ill./Joliet JC/Plainfield South) and senior
Olivia Mathis (Akron, Ohio/Lourdes/St Vincent-St. Mary) competed for both cross country and track teams, while junior
Katie DeHaan (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) and junior
Jamie Sierocki (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) were members of the track and field squad. Booker, Clarke and DeHaan are repeat winners after claiming the distinction in 2023-24. DeHaan also earned CSC Academic All-District honors in the Fall as a member of the SXU women's volleyball team. To qualify, a student-athlete must have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher, have started or played at least 66.7 percent of their team's games and be a sophomore or higher.
From the academicallamerica.com website: the Academic All-District team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom. CSC divides the honorees into four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. By earning All-District, the winners advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Those honorees for First-, Second- & Third-Team Academic All-America will be announced on July 15.
- Booker had a 3.80 GPA as an Exercise Science major. She was also a two-time Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete and a two-time Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) All-Academic selection in 2024-25
- Clarke majored in Sociology with a GPA of 4.00. She earned Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete and CCAC All-Academic recognition twice this school year.
- DeHaan holds a GPA of 4.00 while majoring in Speech Pathology. She was a two-time Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete and two-time CCAC All-Academic honoree for volleyball and track.
- Mathis sported a 3.58 GPA as an Accounting major. She was as a two-time Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete and two-time CCAC All-Academic winner as well.
- Sierocki is an Early Childhood Education major with a GPA of 3.79. She also earned Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete and CCAC All-Academic honors.
