Ed Vucinic earned his 200
th career win for the Cougars, the most in program history, nearly doubling the previous record of 105 wins by the schools' first head coach Tim Donahue (1990-2001). Vucinic has been at the helm of SXU since 2004, currently in his 22
nd season on the sidelines.

Daniel Martinez (Cicero, Ill./Morton East) posted his second consecutive clean sheet by recording four saves. Overall, Saint Xavier held a 19-9 shot advantage with 16 shots on goal to IUC's four.
- Aguilera totaled six shots on the afternoon with four shots on goal in 68 minutes of action.
- Junior midfielder Mark Vitaliy Hul (Ternopil, Ukraine/Moraine Valley/TSSH No. 29) collected four shots on goal in 62 minutes on the pitch.
- In the ninth minute of play, Aguilera rushed the goalkeeper from the left side of the net, stealing the ball and finding the back of the net for his first goal of the year.
- Garcia made the score 2-0 in the 37th minute as he took a pass from fifth-year senior midfielder Saul Camacho (Summit, Ill./Elmhurst/St. Laurence) for his first tally of the season. Camacho recorded his first point of the season as well.
- In the 77th minute, Guzman potted his first goal of the 2025 campaign.
- Guzman picked up an assist after he connected with Morales, who laced a shot passed the diving keeper just inside the right post in the 84th minute.
Saint Xavier (2-1/0-0 CCAC) makes the trip down to Campbellsville, Ky. to play Campbellsville University (Ky.) in a non-conference match on Saturday, September 6. The contest is scheduled for a 6:00 pm central start.
