Notre Dame, Ind. – Junior Nathan Kwiatkowski (Lockport, Ill./DuPage/Lockport Township) was only seven shots behind the top finisher as he tied for 13^th overall with a two-day score of 156 (+14) for the Saint Xavier University men's golf team at the Holy Cross College (Ind.) Saints Classic at Warren Golf Course in Notre Dame, Ind. The Cougars placed seventh out of the 12 teams competing with a combined tally of 636 (+68). SXU had a 'B' team in action as well; they were 10^th with a total score of 690 (+122). Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) won the team title after shooting 615 (+47), surpassing runner-up Viterbo University (Wis.) by only three strokes. Alex Hartman from Holy Cross had the lowest individual score at 149 (+7).

'A' Team:

• Kwiatkowski made three birdie putts in round one on the Par-Five fifth hole, the Par-Five 10^th hole and the Par-Five 17^th hole to shoot a 77. He added three more birdies in the second round, making consecutive birdie putts on the Par-Four fourth and fifth holes, and again on the 17^th hole for a 79.
• Senior Dan Stood (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) tied for 18^th with two other golfers with a total score of 158 (+16). He shot a 79 Monday afternoon with a pair of birdies on the Par-Three 14^th hole and the 17^th hole, respectively. Stood carded another 79 on Tuesday with a birdie on the Par-Four 15^th hole.
• Junior Talon Hawk (Athens, Ohio/Morro Bay) tied for 27^th after shooting a two-day tally of 160 (+18). He completed the first 18-hole loop with a score of 82, making birdies on the fifth and 17^th holes, respectively. Hawk took four shots off his score on the final day with a round of 78 after sinking four birdies on the fifth, 10^th, Par-Four 16^th and 17^th holes.
• Junior Roman Johnson (Lone Rock, Wis./Highland/Richland Center) tied for 31^st with four others with a mark of 162 (+20). He started the tournament with a round of 81. Johnson shot another round of 81 to wrap up play, making a birdie on the 10^th hole.
• Senior Joey Glennon (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) tied for 50^th with his two-day score of 171 (+29). He opened play with a round of 87 in round one. Glennon shaved three strokes off his score in round two, carding an 84.

'B' Team:

• Freshman Conor Brandt (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) tied for 31^st with his teammate also shooting 162 (+20). He converted par on 13 holes on Monday, turning in a card of 76. Brandt made a birdie on the 15^th hole, finishing the day with a score of 86.
• Freshman Stone Hawk (Athens, Ohio/Morro Bay) tied for 41^st with a combined score of 167 (+25). He shot a score of 79 Monday afternoon, making par on 11 holes. On Tuesday, Hawk completed his second 18-hole loop with a round of 88.
• Sophomore Ryne Shields (Oak Lawn, Ill./Brother Rice) was just one shot behind his teammate, after shooting 168 (+26). He shot a round of 87 on day one, draining a birdie on the Par-Four third hole. Shields improved his score by six shots on the second day, turning in a round of 81 after he made a birdie on the 17^th hole.
• Fifth-year senior Jack Bullington (Evergreen Park, Ill./Trinity Christian/Marist) finished in a three-way tie for 61^st with a total score of 193 (+51). He shot a round of 100 Monday afternoon. Bullington took seven shots off his score on Tuesday by shooting a 93.
