Briana Krapf (Portage, Ind./Portage) set a new personal record (PR) in a 6K race with a time of 23:49.8 for the Saint Xavier University women's cross country team at the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational hosted by Augustana College (Ill.) at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island, Ill. Krapf, who was 12
th overall out of 161 runners, bested her previous time of 23:53.7 set last season at the Indiana Wesleyan University Twilight Invite on September 5, 2025. The Cougars were 11
th out of 19 teams with a score of 276. University of Chicago (Ill.), No. 5 in the NCAA Division III rankings, won the race with a team score of 40. Katie Park from Quincy University (Ill.) won the individual crown with a time of 22:42.5. SXU was originally scheduled to race at the Seminole Valley Stampede hosted by Mount Mercy University (Iowa) in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, however the racecourse was flooded due to heavy rains earlier in the week.
- Freshman Daniela Dodge (Monee, Ill./Illiana Christian) placed 65th with a time of 25:58.8 in her first collegiate 6K race.
- Sophomore Ava Scheeringa (Hebron, Ind./Hebron) ran her third-best career time in a 6K, clocking in at 26:06.3, not far behind her teammate in 68th position.
- Sophomore Chloe Miller (Manhattan, Ill./Lincoln-Way West) took almost nine seconds off of her old PR, crossing the finish line with a mark of 26:23.9 for a 73rd place draw.
- Senior Alexia Guzman (Chicago, Ill./Solorio Academy) checked in with a time of 27:51.0.
- Freshman Ariana Leato Jaimes (Oak Lawn, Ill./Oak Lawn Community) posted a time of 28:48.4 in her first collegiate 6K event.
