CHICAGO – The Saint Xavier University women's basketball team (18-11, 14-6 CCAC) had nine student-athletes named to the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) All-Academic Team, most of any school in the conference, when the team was announced by the league office Thursday morning. Senior guard
Lia Chudzik (Pewaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) earned her third All-Academic Team selection. Junior guard
Emma Clark (Rockton, Ill./Hononegah Community), junior guard
Madyson Kibelkis (Peotone, Ill./Peotone) and redshirt forward
Delaney Panozzo (Grant Park, Ill./Grant Park) claimed the honor for the second consecutive season. Senior forward
Kaliah Neighbors (Evansville, Ind./Evansville North), sophomore guard
Gianna Amadio (Mokena, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central, sophomore forward
Veronica Bafia (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township), sophomore guard
Maeve Egan (Chicago, Ill./Mother McAuley) and sophomore guard
Makayla Kelly (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) each are first time honorees. To be eligible, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.25 grade point average (GPA) and be enrolled at their current institution for at least one calendar year.
- Amadio, who was named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete earlier in the week, is a Nursing major with a 3.94 GPA.
- Bafia, also a Nursing major and an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, maintains a 3.94 GPA.
- Chudzik, an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, has a 3.94 GPA as a Digital Marketing/Business Management major.
- Clark majors in Accounting, sporting a 3.92 GPA away from the court, was also named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete.
- Egan is a Communication Sciences & Disorders major, carrying a GPA of 3.85. She claimed NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition.
- Kelly majors in Exercise Science, another NAIA Scholar-Athlete claimant, has a 3.52 GPA in the classroom.
- Kibelkis was one of only four student-athletes in the CCAC to post a 4.00 GPA. She is an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, majoring in Elementary Education.
- Neighbors holds a 3.25 GPA as a Psychology major.
- Panozzo claimed her second NAIA Scholar-Athlete and CCAC All-Academic awards this season as she also plays for the women's volleyball team. She sports a 3.87 GPA as an Exercise Science major.
