Bobby Habetler (Park Ridge, Ill./Indiana Tech/St. Patrick) claimed NAIA All-American honors for the No. 9 ranked the Saint Xavier University men's bowling team when the awards were announced by the national office at a banquet Wednesday evening before the start of the NAIA Men's and Women's Bowling National Championship Tournaments at Royal Scot Lanes in Lansing, Mich. Habetler earned Second Team All-American recognition after he was a First Team All-American last season and a Second Team honoree in 2023-24. He joins current assistant coach Alex Acosta (2018-23), who was a First Team All-American his senior season in 2022-23, and his former teammate Michael Harmon Jr. (2023-24), who was a First Team All-American his lone season with the Cougars, to be named an All-Americans in program history.
- In the final posted statistical ratings from February, Habetler had the ninth-best scoring average per frame in the NAIA at 21.172 in 588 frames. Under the traditional format, he was ranked No. 2 with an average of 21.900 in 380 frames. Habetler was No. 8 in fill percentage at 89.5 percent in traditional format play.
- He ranks No. 13 in overall strike percentage at 55.4 percent. Habetler led the NAIA in traditional format competition with a strike percentage of 59.5 percent.
- In Individual First Ball "9+" Percentage, he was No. 7 at 80.17 percent on 590 attempts. Habetler checked in at No. 14 in the NAIA at Individual First Ball Average Pinfall with a mark of 9.16. He was also the national leader in Individual First Ball "9+" Percentage under the traditional format with an average of 83.42 percent on 380 attempts. Habetler was No. 3 in Individual First Ball Average Pinfall bowling in the traditional format at 9.27.
- He was ranked in the Top 25 Player Composite Performance Index (PCPI), coming in at No.22 with a tally of 84.162 percent.
No. 9 Saint Xavier continues play in the NAIA Men's Bowling National Championship Tournament, bowling at 8:30 am on Friday, March 20 in the elimination bracket of the double-elimination tournament vs. SCAD-Savannah (Ga.).
