Amia Harrison (Chicago, Ill./Simeon Career Academy) made her second straight appearance at the NAIA Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University this Thursday in Marion, Ill. for the Saint Xavier University women's track & field team. She finished in 15
th place overall out of 31 competitors with a distance of 11.59m. Machaeda Linton of William Carey University (Miss.) had the best jump at 12.52m to claim first place. University of British Columbia took home the National Championship with a team score of 104 points.
- Harrison tied the school record for the longest jump at nationals, originally set by former standout Alex Lambros (2016-19) set on May 23, 2019 in Gulf Shores, Ala. Her mark of 11.59m is the second-best distance in her career and tied for the fourth-longest in team history. Harrison improved both her distance and finish from a season ago when she had a jump of 11.50m and was 21st.
