Livonia, Mich. – The Saint Xavier University dance team started their 2025 by taking part in the Crusader Classic hosted Madonna University (Mich.) and the Cougars placed third out of three teams Saturday afternoon at the Alliance Catholic Credit Union Arena in Livonia, Mich.
- Saint Xavier, performing a new routine, featured a lineup of junior Perla Leon (Chicago, Ill./Richards), sophomore Emily Hovanes (Manteno, Ill./Manteno Community) and sophomore Kayeann Ventura (Tinley Park, Ill./Lincoln-Way East).
- Siena Heights University (Mich.) finished in first place with 71.1 points, the host Crusaders were second with 61.25 points just ahead of SXU's score of 59.8 points.
Saint Xavier returns to action on Saturday, February 8 when they travel to Indianapolis, Ind. to compete in two-round Marian University (Ind.) Invite with round one beginning at 10:30 am central, and round two scheduled for a 12:00 pm central start.
