CHICAGO – The 4x200 Relay team, competing in the event for the first time in program history, of junior

Emerson Colins (New Lenox, Ill./St. Francis/Lincoln-Way West) and sophomore
Amaya Rique (St. Louis, Mo./Mineral Area/Seckman) won the race with a time of 1:46.46, and senior
Lana Krohe (Streator, Ill./Olivet Nazarene/Streator) became the first thrower in school history to win the Shot Put, posting the second-best throw in team history at 12.35m to help the Saint Xavier University women's track & field team earn a third place finish at the Aurora University (Ill.) Grand Prix with 71 points. The majority of the events were held at Gately Stadium, while the throwing events took place at University of Chicago (Ill.). UChicago won the meet with 127 points, just ahead of runner-up Elmhurst University (Ill.) with 122 points.
- Competing in the 60m Dash, Cargo recorded a time of 8.31 seconds, while Jenkins crossed the line at 8.37 seconds.
- Junior Kenia Salgado (Cicero, Ill./Morton East) made her season debut in the 400m, clocking in at 1:12.57.
- Senior Olivia Mathis (Akron, Ohio/Lourdes/St Vincent-St. Mary) hit the NAIA 'B' Standard for the second time this season after placing third in the 800m with a time of 2:17.01. Senior Lexi Clarke (Plainfield, Ill./Joliet JC/Plainfield South) finished in fourth place with a time of 2:20.46. Junior Yanira Deana Paninka (Canary Island, Spain/Central Methodist/IES Jandia) ran her second-fastest time of the 2024-25 season, coming in sixth place with a time of 2:20.98. Senior Kristin Booker (St. Louis, Ill./Cardinal Ritter) posted her second-best career time at 2:30.42.
- Sophomore Alexia Guzman (Chicago, Ill./Solorio Academy) made her season debut in the Mile, recording her third-fastest career time at 6:19.33. Junior Emma Karczewski (Chicago, Ill./Marist) also made her season debut, crossing at 6:31.55.
- In the 3000m, junior Isabella Alatorre (Blue Island, Eisenhower) posted her fastest time of the season, and the second-best of her career, at 12:31.14. Freshman Ava Mayer (Chicago, Ill./Marist) set a new personal record (PR) with a time 13:48.38.
- Sophomore Rashiya Warfield (Lansing, Ill./T.F. South) established a new PR in the 60m Hurdles with her seventh-place time of 9.51 seconds. Colins ran in the event for the first time in 2024-25, placing eighth at 9.52 seconds. Freshman Olivia Jarrett (Lynwood, Ill./T.F. South) made her collegiate debut, recording a time of 11.26 seconds.
- The Cougars had a 'B' group, unlisted, also compete in the 4x200 Relay that finished fifth with a time of 1:53.56 seconds.
- The 4x400 squad of Jarrett, junior Martha Tidwell (Chicago, Ill./Ogden International), Rique and Salgado placed 10th with a time of 4:29.60.
- Freshman Sophia Thomas (Highland, Ill./Highland) recorded her second-best effort of the season in the Long Jump, coming away with a mark of 4.39m.
- Junior Jamie Sierocki (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) finished third in the Shot Put with her throw of 12.06m. Freshman Mariah James (Alsip, Ill./Shepard) recorded a PR toss of 11.23m for a fifth-place draw. Junior Katie DeHaan (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) placed sixth in her season debut with a throw of 10.82m. Sophomore Amariah Scott (Chicago, Ill./Thornton Township) logged a distance of 9.58m.
- In the Weight Throw, James tallied a PR toss of 12.99m to place second overall, while Krohe finished fourth with a mark of 12.49m and Sierocki posted the third-best throw of her career at 12.42m to finish in fifth place. DeHaan came away with a new PR, recording a throw of 10.99m, while Scott had a toss of 10.31m.
Saint Xavier makes the trip down Interstate-57 to compete in the Walter Cramer Invite hosted by Olivet Nazarene University on Friday, January 31 in Bourbonnais, Ill.
