Yanira Deana Paninka (Canary Island, Spain/Central Methodist/IES Jandia) ran the fourth-fastest time in program history in the 600m, finishing third overall while also hitting the NAIA 'B' Standard for the Saint Xavier University women's track and field team at the Grand Valley State University (Mich.) - On Saturday, sophomore Amaya Rique (St. Louis, Mo./Mineral Area/Seckman) posted the 10th quickest time in program history in the 400m, setting a new PR with a time of 1:01.74. She placed 26th overall, and it was the second-fastest time by an NAIA runner in a field that featured runners from NCAA Division I, II & III programs.
- Senior Lana Krohe (Streator, Ill./Olivet Nazarene/Streator) was the lone NAIA competitor in the Shot Put, finishing 8th with her third-best throw of the season at 12.30m.
Saint Xavier will find out who qualified for the NAIA Women's Indoor Track & Field National Championships that take place from February 27 to March 1 in Gainesville, Fla., when the NAIA announces all the individual and team qualifiers on Wednesday, February 19.
