CHICAGO – For the fourth time this season, senior
Ayobami Arokoyo (Schaumburg, Ill./Schaumburg) has claimed the final Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week award for the Saint Xavier University men's track & field team when the awards were announced by the league office Tuesday morning. He repeats as CCAC Field Athlete of the Week for the Cougars after posting his best throw of the season in the Discus at the Drake University (Iowa) Relays last Friday, and he followed that up with a pair of wins in both the Discus and Shot Put, respectively, at the Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) Outdoor Open on Saturday.
- Arokoyo was the only NAIA competitor in a field of nine throwers that featured athletes from NCAA Division I and Division II programs in the Discus Championships at the Drake Relays. His fifth-place throw of 55.92m, hitting the NAIA 'A' Standard, was the second-best in the NAIA this season, his third-best career throw and his furthest toss of 2025.
- He hit the NAIA 'A' Standard again at ONU with his first-place throw of 52.76m. It was the fourth time this year he has won the event and his 16th career first-place finish in the event. Arokoyo also recorded his third-best career throw in the Shot Put at 15.95 to take home first-place honors.
