Elmhurst, Ill. – The Saint Xavier University men's track & field team won four events this weekend at the three-day Chicagoland Championships hosted by Elmhurst University (Ill.). Senior
Ayobami Arokoyo (Schaumburg, Ill./Schaumburg) started the meet by winning the Discus with a throw of 52.22m on Thursday, the only thrower to surpass the 50.00m mark at the meet. It is the 14
th time in his career that he has won the event. Senior
Ronnie Foster (Peoria Heights, Ill./Peoria Heights) broke his school record in the Triple Jump and he hit the NAIA 'B' Standard with a first-place distance of 14.66m. It is the fifth time in his career that Foster has won the discipline.

Lendale Franklin (Chicago, Ill./Roosevelt/Argo Community) posted the third-fastest time of his career, and program history, in the preliminaries of the 110m Hurdles with the top time of 14.36 seconds. He claimed first in the finals with the only sub-15 second time, at 14.63 seconds for his third career win in the race. Franklin was also a part of the 4x100 Relay Team that won, recording the fourth-best time in team history, at 41.85 seconds. He along with junior

Jamaurien Thomas (Chicago, Ill./Ogden International) and junior
Sean Harris (Blue Island, Ill./Eisenhower) posted the fourth victory in SXU history in the event. No team scores were recorded.
- In the 100m Dash, Harris established a new personal record (PR) with a time of 10.97 seconds in the prelims to qualify for the finals where he posted his second-best career time with his sixth-place mark of 11.03 seconds. Also in the preliminaries, junior Myles Money (Crete, Ill./Marian Catholic) ran his second-quickest career time at 11.11 seconds. Thomas crossed the line at 11.31 seconds, just ahead of the time of 11.33 seconds by sophomore Nazheer Moore (Lansing, Ill./T.F. South). McFadden clocked in at 11.39 seconds, while junior Charlie Zufan (Orland Hill, Ill./Andrew) finished at 11.46 seconds in his first appearance in the event this season.
- Thomas tied his second-best career time in the 200m, recording a mark of 22.56 seconds. Money also ran his second-fastest career time at 22.59 seconds. Moore logged his fifth-best career mark at 23.03 seconds, while McFadden has a time of 23.72 seconds.
- Sophomore Marquise Hurst (Berwyn, Ill./Morton West) logged his second-best career time in the 400m at 52.08 seconds.
- In the 800m, senior Jonathan Jacobo (Blue Island, Ill./Eisenhower) posted his second-fastest career time at 1:59.10 seconds. Freshman Trey Maciejewski (Rensselaer, Ind./Rensselaer Central) made his Outdoor debut, recording a time of 2:01.06. Sophomore Andy Damon (Crestwood, Ill./Oak Forest) registered the second-best time of his career as well, crossing at 2:06.05.
- Junior Rohindeep Bhattel (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) topped his old PR in the 1500m by over five seconds with a time of 4:07.04. Senior Isaac Sytsma (Highland, Ind./Indiana Tech/Calumet St. Joseph/Highland) made his season debut in the event, posting his third-best career time as a Cougar at 4:08.32. Sophomore Luis Lopez (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) bested his previous PR, also set at the same meet last season, by over five seconds at 4:13.12. Senior Julian Rosenbach (Joliet, Ill./Joliet JC/Joliet West) also set a new PR, running seven second better at 4:13.52. Freshman Xavier Sananisai (Rockford, Ill./Jefferson) made his Outdoor debut for SXU, clocking in at 4:36.68.
- Running in the 3000m, Sytsma broke his own school record by almost two seconds with his seventh-place time of 8:42.98. Junior Ben Morrey (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) destroyed his old PR by almost a minute, placing 11th at 8:48.39, the third-best time in team history. Senior Luke Snedden made his collegiate debut in the race in an Outdoor meet, finishing at 8:53.06 for the fifth-fastest for any runner at Saint Xavier. Senior Josiah Sianez (Blue Island, Ill./Eisenhower) PR'd with the sixth-best time in program history, besting his old mark by over 15 seconds at 9:07.75. Freshman Joey Lagattolla (Romeoville, Ill./Plainfield East) made his Outdoor collegiate debut, crossing at 9:22.02. Sophomore Alejandro Velazquez (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) hammered his old PR by nearly 40 seconds at 9:35.60.
- Lagattolla debuted in the 5000m as well, logging a time of 16:06.37, as did Velazquez at 16:37.96.
- Also racing in the 110m Hurdles, Harris qualified for the finals with his third-quickest time at 15.06 seconds. In the finals, he finished third at 15.43 seconds.
- Redshirt junior Karam Jaber (Palos Heights, Ill./Shepard) ran his second-best career time in the 400m Hurdles, taking second place at 55.37 seconds. Freshman Nate Kalk (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) made his Outdoor debut, clocking in at 1:00.83.
- Freshman Tracy Lee (Chicago, Ill./Proviso West) set a PR in the High Jump, logging the second-best mark in team history at 1.76m.
- Moore made his collegiate debut in the Long Jump, recording a distance of 5.79m, tying with teammate sophomore Faruq Sulaimon (Oak Forest, Ill./Andrew), who had the same mark.
- Sulaimon also competed in the Triple Jump, coming away with a distance of 11.56m.
- Arokoyo booked the seventh-best throw in program history, and his sixth-best, with a second-place distance of 15.37m. Sophomore Thomas Imburgia (Machesney Park, Ill./Harlem) was seventh overall with the second-best throw of his career at 13.49m. Junior Riley Lundgren (Loves Park, Ill./Harlem) checked in with a toss of 12.43m. Senior Mark Pinnock (Miami Gardens, Fla./Krop) made his season debut with a throw of 11.95m. Sophomore Thomas Toefield (Oak Lawn, Ill./St. Laurence) debuted in 2025 as well, posting a mark of 11.47m, as did junior Drake Hayes (Minooka, Ill./Minooka Community) with a PR toss of 11.36m.
- Also seeing action in the Discus, Lundgren took sixth place with a distance of 43.44m. Imburgia was eighth overall with the second-best throw of his career at 40.85m. Junior Justin Laws (Roxana, Ill./Roxana) registered a toss of 33.28m, while Pinnock logged a distance of 31.71m, and Hayes posted his second-best distance at 26.26m.
- Freshman Luis Perez (Oak Lawn, Ill./Richards) recorded his second-best career throw in the Javelin at 36.68m. Toefield set a new PR with his toss of 29.40m. Kalk registered a distance of 28.27 in his debut in the event. Fifth-year senior Martin Tolentino (Burbank, Ill./St. Laurence) came away with a distance of 26.57m, and senior Robert Davis (Oak Forest, Ill./Tinley Park) logged a throw of 20.72m in his season debut.
Saint Xavier travels south on Interstate-57 to participate in the Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) Tiger Open on Saturday, April 12 in Bourbonnais, Ill.
