Joliet, Ill. – For the fourth year in a row, the Saint Xavier University men's track & field team finished third overall at the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Outdoor Championships this weekend at Joliet Memorial Stadium in Joliet, Ill. Sean Harris (Blue Island, Ill./Eisenhower) won the 110m Hurdles crown, earning All-CCAC with his first-place time of 14.53 seconds, improving his top time in the preliminaries of 14.63 seconds. Harris earned All-CCAC with a second-place finish in the 100m Dash, crossing the finish line in 10.72 seconds, as well as All-CCAC honors as a member of the 4x100 Relay Team, along with junior

Earning accolades on the coaching side, Jackie Torres was named the Assistant Coach of the Year.
- In the finals of the 100m Dash, Thomas earned two points with his seventh-place time of 11.04 seconds. Running in the prelims, Harris posted the second-quickest qualifying time of 10.82 seconds, while Thomas clocked in at 11.02 seconds. Moore recorded a time of 11.38 seconds, as did freshman Logan Perak (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg). Hampton was right behind his teammates with a mark of 11.45 seconds.
- Harris ran the second-best time in the preliminaries of the 200m at 21.55 second, but he did not compete in the finals. Thomas registered a time of 22.92 seconds, Moore at 23.05 seconds, Perak established a new personal record (PR) with his time of 23.33 seconds, and Hampton checked in at 24.26 seconds for his second-best finish of the season.
- In the 400m, Moore ran his second-quickest career time to place 10th overall at 51.75 seconds. Freshman Christian Orozco (Oak Lawn, Ill./Oak Lawn Community) PR'd with a time of 55.27 seconds, Perak logged his second-best career mark at 56.10 seconds and freshman Ben Gresham (Lansing, Ill./T.F. South) booked his third-best time of the year at 56.83 seconds.
- Bhattal came away with his second-best career time in the 800m when he crossed the line at 2:01.42. Sophomore Trey Maciejewski (Rensselaer, Ind./Rensselaer Central) posted his second-best mark of the season at 2:02.54, as did freshman Josh Bosstel (Portage, Ind./Portage) with a time of 2:04.83. Freshman Joey D'Anca (Palos Heights, Ill./St. Laurence) made his Outdoor debut in the event, clocking in at 2:08.38, just ahead of teammate freshman Alex Hay (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) and his time of 2:09.73 who set a new PR.
- In the 1500m, Bhattal set a new PR, running the sixth-fastest time in team history, at 3:58.54 to place seventh to earn two points. Junior Andy Damon (Crestwood, Ill./Oak Forest) finished 10th, topping his old PR for the third time this year at 4:08.45. Rosenbach was close behind after clocking in at 4:10.75. Sananasai improved his PR for the third time this season as well, posting a mark of 4:14.07. Freshman Michal Wreczycki Jr. (Palos Park, Ill./Stagg) bested his previous PR by six tenths of a second at 4:15.08.
- Junior Alejandro Velazquez (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) shaved over 32 seconds off his old PR in the 5000m, crossing the line at 16:05.68. Sophomore Joey Lagattolla (Romeoville, Ill./Plainfield East) ran his second-fastest time of the season at 16:08.69. Morrey came away with his second-best career mark at 16:21.79, ahead of his younger brother Freshman Will Morrey (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) and his time of 16:26.15. Rosenbach made his Outdoor debut in the race, finished at 16:42.26.
- Lagattolla debuted in the 10,000m, earning three points with a sixth-place draw of 33:05.33.
- Qualifying for the finals of the 110m Hurdles with Harris were junior Brandon Ferguson (Rockford, Ill./Viterbo/Auburn), who had the second-best time at 14.88 seconds, but he did not race in the finals, and freshman LaShawn Scott (Oak Park, Ill./Eisenhower), who PR'd at 16.66 second. In the finals, Scott placed seventh at 17.32 seconds.
- Ferguson finished fourth in the 400m Hurdles with his third-quickest time of the season at 56.61 seconds. Scott checked in at 1:06.42 for his third-best time of the year as well.
- Wreczycki Jr. bested his previous PR by nearly seven seconds with his ninth-place time of 10:33.52
- The 4x400 Relay Team of Moore, Ferguson, Maciejewski and Thomas placed fourth with a time of 3:27.65.
- Redshirt freshman Nick Gomez (Burbank, Ill./Wisconsin-Platteville/Reavis) came away with his third-best distance of the season in the Long Jump, placing eighth at 6.08m. Freshman Daniel Cabal (Mokena, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) recorded a jump of 5.62m, while Hampton made his Outdoor debut in the event with a mark of 5.27m.
- Senior Riley Lundgren (Loves Park, Ill./Harlem) logged his best throw of the season in the Shot Put at 13.59m to take sixth place. Junior Thomas Imburgia (Machesney Park, Ill./Harlem) posted his best toss of the season as well, placing eighth at 13.15m. Senior Drake Hayes (Minooka, Ill./Minooka Community) improved upon his PR, finishing 10th at 12.43m, tying with teammate freshman Nickoles Latham (Griffith, Ind./Calumet New Tech). Junior Thomas Toefield (Oak Lawn, Ill./St. Laurence) booked his third-best throw of the season at 11.79m.
- In the Discus, freshman Brennan Culpepper (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South) established a new PR with his sixth-place toss of 42.76m, earning three points. Lundgren picked up two points with a seventh-place distance of 42.12m, a season-best for him. Latham was ninth overall with a PR throw of 41.28m. Imburgia checked in with his second-best toss of the year at 38.38m.
- Also competing in the Hammer, sophomore Adam Turner (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles) bested his old PR for the fourth time this season, placing fourth at 48.87m. Latham was fifth, topping his previous PR by over five meters at 47.22m. Culpepper logged his second-best career throw at 38.98m, while Imburgia recorded a toss of 36.73m.
- Freshman Jason Crowe (Worth, Ill./Shepard) came away with a point in the Javelin, placing eighth with a throw of 40.72m. Sophomore Nate Kalk (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) was ninth after his toss of 38.22m, and sophomore Luis Perez (Oak Lawn, Ill./Richards) finished 10th overall at 37.66m. Toefield registered a distance of 25.40m.
Saint Xavier returns to Joliet, Ill. of the University of St. Francis (Ill.) Fighting Chance Invite with competitors looking to improve their standings/marks or trying to qualify for the national tournament. The two-day event starts on Friday, May 8 at Joliet Memorial Stadium.
