CHICAGO – Senior
Sean Harris (Blue Island, Ill./Eisenhower) hit the NAIA 'B' Standard once again in the 200m, running the second-fastest time of his career with his first-place time of 21.51 seconds for the Saint Xavier University men's track & field team at the Aurora Grand Prix hosted by Aurora University (Ill.) Saturday afternoon at the Worrill Track & Field Center in Chicago, Ill. Harris also established a new personal record (PR) in the 60m Dash, tying for the sixth-quickest time in program history with his fourth-place mark of 6.94 seconds. Connor Whalen (Burbank, Ill./Reavis) placed second in the Weight Throw, logging his second-best career distance at 15.44m, and the seventh-best mark for SXU all-time in an indoor event. No team scores were recorded.
- Also running in the 60m Dash that featured over 100 runners, junior Jamaurien Thomas (Chicago, Ill./Ogden International) was 18th overall with a time of 7.14 seconds. Freshman Brian McBride (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) made his collegiate debut, posting a time of 7.66 seconds.
- Senior Charlie Zufan (Orland Hills, Ill./Andrew), competing in the 200m for the first time this season, logged a time of 23.03 seconds. Junior Nazheer Moore (Lansing, Ill./T.F. South) recorded a season-best time after crossing at 23.59 seconds.
- Zufan also ran in the 400m for the first time in 2025-26, with a team-best mark of 52.08 seconds. Freshman Christian Orozco (Oak Lawn, Ill./Oak Lawn Community) made his collegiate debut, coming away with a time of 54.90 seconds. Freshman Ben Gresham (Lansing, Ill./T.F. South) clocked in with his second-fastest time of the year at 57.33 seconds.
- Senior Rohindeep Bhattal (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) was the quickest Saint Xavier runner in the 800m, placing 15th with a time of 2:01.61 for a new Indoor PR. Also setting a new PR was sophomore Xavier Sananisai (Rockford, Ill./Jefferson), topping his previous best by nearly 15 seconds at 2:05.96. Junior Alejandro Velazquez (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) PR'd as well, running at 2:10.07, just over two seconds better than his old mark set as a freshman.
- A trio of runners competed in the Mile for the first time as freshman Will Morrey (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) posted a time of 4:42.01, freshman Josh Bosstel (Portage, Ind./Portage) crossed the line at 4:52.95, just ahead of teammate freshman Joey D'Anca (Palos Heights, Ill./St. Laurence) and his time of 4:53.70.
- Freshman Michal Wreczycki Jr. (Palos Park, Ill./Stagg) established a new PR in the 3000m by over 15 seconds with a time of 9:19.03. Junior Luis Lopez (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) ran his second-best time of the season at 9:27.65, as did sophomore Joey Lagattolla (Romeoville, Ill./Plainfield East) with his time of 9:37.32.
- Fifth-year senior Julian Rosenbach (Joliet, Ill./Joliet JC/Joliet West) destroyed his old PR in the 5000m by over a minute and 22 seconds when he crossed the finish line at 16:25.84. Senior Ben Morrey (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) ran in the event for the first time this season, clocking in at 16:40.01. Junior Andy Damon (Crestwood, Ill./Oak Forest) made his debut in the race, posting a time of 16:45.47.
- Junior Brandon Ferguson (Rockford, Ill./Viterbo/Auburn) placed ninth in the 60m Hurdles with his time of 8.77 seconds. Junior Charles Bockenkamp (Park Hills, Mo./Mineral Area/Central) recorded a time of 9.48 seconds.
- The 4x200 Relay 'A' squad of Thomas, Ferguson, junior Jayquan Hampton (Chicago, Ill./Ogden International) and Bockenkamp logged the fourth-best time in school history with a fourth-place time of 1:33.65. The 'B' group of freshman Logan Perak (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg), freshman Alex Hay (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point), Gresham and McBride finished eighth overall at 1:36.99.
- In the Long Jump, redshirt freshman Nick Gomez (Burbank, Ill./Wisconsin-Platteville/Reavis) recorded his second-best mark of the year at 6.00m. Freshman Daniel Cabal (Mokena, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) made his collegiate debut, posting a distance of 5.49m. Hampton Jr. came away with his second-best jump in 2025-26 at 5.25m.
- Senior Riley Lundgren (Loves Park, Ill./Harlem) logged his second-best throw of the season with his eighth-place toss of 13.75m. Freshman Nickoles Lathem (Griffith, Ind./Calumet New Tech) was ninth after his throw of 13.39m to set a new PR. Junior Thomas Imburgia (Machesney Park, Ill./Harlem) also finished in the Top 10 with a 10th place toss of 13.30m. Junior Thomas Toefield (Oak Lawn, Ill./St. Laurence) topped his old PR by over a meter at 12.77m. Freshman Brennan Culpepper (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South) posted his third-best distance of the year at 12.38m. Senior Drake Hayes (Minooka, Ill./Minooka Community) came away with his second-best career mark at 12.22m. Redshirt freshman Adam Turner (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) registered his third-best effort of the season at 10.13m.
- In the Weight Throw, freshman Jason Crowe (Worth, Ill./Shepard) posted a mark of 13.18m. Turner recorded his second-best career distance at 12.74m. Sophomore Nate Kalk (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) registered his second-best career throw as well at 12.05m. Hayes checked in with a toss of 11.75m, followed by Culpepper at 11.69m, and Latham's second-best mark of the year at 11.11m. Toefield logged a distance of 10.84m in his debut in the event.
Saint Xavier returns to the Worrill Track & Field Center on Saturday, January 31 to take part in the Chicago Collegiate Invitational.
