Bourbonnais, Ill. – For the third consecutive season, the Saint Xavier University men's track & field team finished third overall at the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships Saturday afternoon at Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) in Bourbonnais, Ill. Sean Harris (Blue Island, Ill./Eisenhower) had a stand-out performance for the Cougars, earning the 60m Hurdles Championship and All-CCAC with his first-place time of 8.12 seconds, hitting the NAIA 'B' Standard in the process. It was the fourth time in 2025-26 that he won the event, and the fifth time overall in his career. Harris also earned All-CCAC after he placed second in the 60m Dash at 6.92 seconds. In the preliminaries, he set the school record with a qualifying time of 6.87 seconds. Harris claimed All-CCAC when he finished second in the 200m at 21.56 seconds. In the prelims, he broke his own program record with a time of 21.26 seconds, the fifth-fastest in the NAIA this season, and hitting the NAIA 'A' Standard. SXU collected 72 points competing against seven other scoring teams. Olivet Nazarene won the conference title with a total of 325 points on their home track.

Brandon Ferguson (Rockford, Ill./Viterbo/Auburn) took second behind Harris in the finals of the 60m Hurdles, earning All-CCAC and setting a new personal record (PR) at 8.20 seconds. Junior
Connor Whalen (Burbank, Ill./Reavis) finished third in the Weight Throw, becoming the first Saint Xavier thrower to surpass the 17.00m mark with his All-CCAC distance of 17.66m, hitting the NAIA 'B' Standard.
- Joining Harris in the finals of the 60m Dash, junior Jamaurien Thomas (Chicago, Ill./Ogden International) established a new PR in the preliminaries at 7.00 seconds. He just missed the podium in the finals, placing fourth at 7.02 seconds. Freshman Logan Perak (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) PR'd for the second meet in a row with a time of 7.11 seconds. Junior Jayquan Hampton (Chicago, Ill./Ogden International) posted a season-best time, and the second-fastest on his career, at 7.23 seconds.
- Senior Charlie Zufan (Orland Hill, Ill./Andrew) logged a time of 22.80 seconds in the 200m prelims, tied for his second-quickest mark this season, for a 10th place draw. Junior Nazheer Moore (Lansing, Ill./T.F. South) crossed the line at 22.94 seconds for a new Indoor PR. Perak clocked in at 23.12 seconds to also set a new PR.
- In the 400m, Moore recorded a time of 52.90 seconds for a new PR time. Freshman Ben Gresham (Lansing, Ill./T.F. South) ran his second-fastest career time at 56.36 seconds. Freshman LaShawn Scott (Oak Park, Ill./Eisenhower) came away with his third-best mark of year at 57.23 seconds.
- Senior Rohindeep Bhattal (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) shattered his previous best in the 600m by over 10 seconds, clocking in at 1:25.88, finishing 10th. Junior Charles Bockenkamp (Park Hills, Mo./Mineral Area/Central) bested his fastest time by a second with a new PR of 1:26.51. Freshman Christian Orozco (Oak Lawn, Ill./Oak Lawn Community) debuted in the race, crossing at 1:30.18. Freshman Alex Hay (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point), competing in the race for just the second time, ran his best mark at 1:30.97.
- Junior Andy Damon (Crestwood, Ill./Oak Forest) registered a new PR by nearly three seconds in the 800m with a time of 2:03.62 for a 10th place draw. Fifth-year senior Julian Rosenbach (Joliet, Ill./Joliet JC/Joliet West) PR'd as well, a second better than his old mark at 2:03.72. Freshman Josh Bosstel (Portage, Ind./Portage) ran six seconds faster than his previous best at 2:04.30. Freshman Joey D'Anca (Palos Heights, Ill./St. Laurence) joined his teammates with a new PR, crossing at 2:07.10.
- In the 1000m, Bhattal came away with a new PR at 2:33.14 to finish seventh. Damon PR'd as well with his mark of 2:39.15 in eighth place. D'Anca debuted in the event, posting a time of 2:47.74. Bosstel was a step behind at 2:48.53, also debuting in the race.
- Bhattal surpassed another old PR, this time running a mark of 4:24.34 in the Mile, placing sixth. Damon topped his previous best by nearly two seconds at 4:34.95. Sophomore Xavier Sananisai (Rockford, Ill./Jefferson) checked in with a new PR with his time of 4:35.36, while senior Ben Morrey (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) booked his second-best career time at 4:38.05.
- Taking 10th in the 3000m, freshman Michal Wreczycki Jr. (Parlos Park, Ill./Stagg) established a new PR, almost 10 seconds better, at 9:10.34. Junior Alejandro Velazquez (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) ran a PR time of 9:16.46. Junior Luis Lopez (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) ran a season-best time of 9:17.67. Freshman Will Morrey (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) crossed the line with his third-quickest time of the season at 9:36.44.
- Competing in the 5000m, Lopez registered the second-best mark of his career at 16:04.19. Sophomore Joey Lagattolla (Romeoville, Ill./Plainfield East) finished with his second-fastest career time at 16:06.29. Rosenbach was nearly 10 seconds faster than his old PR, clocking in at 16:15.22. Ben Morrey logged his second-quickest Indoor time at 16:24.09.
- Bockenkamp booked his fastest time as a Cougar in the finals of the 60m Hurdles, placing eighth at 9.27 seconds. In the prelims, he posted a qualifying time of 9.30 seconds. Harris and Ferguson crossed at 8.32 seconds, though Harris was faster by 3/100th of a second 8.313 to 8.316. Scott set a new PR at 9.50 seconds.
- The 4x400 Relay team of Bockenkamp, Ferguson, Zufan and Moore placed fourth with a time of 3:30.12.
- The 4x800 Relay squad of Will Morrey, Sananisai, sophomore Trey Maciejewski (Rensselaer, Ind./Rensselaer Central) and Wreczycki Jr. took fourth place, posting at mark of 8:22.29, the fifth-best all-time at SXU, and fastest since 2014.
- Hampton recorded his best distance in the Long Jump, coming away with a PR at 6.17m for an eighth-place finish. Senior Ryan McFadden (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park-River Forest) made his debut in the event, logging a jump of 6.06m. Redshirt freshman Nick Gomez (Burbank, Ill./Wisconsin-Platteville/Reavis) registered his third-best jump of the year at 6.05m.
- Debuting in the Triple Jump, Gomez had the ninth-best distance at 12.18m.
- Senior Riley Lundgren (Loves Park, Ill./Harlem) was fifth overall in the Shot Put with a throw of 13.58m. Freshman Nickoles Lathem (Griffith, Ind./Calumet New Tech) finished seventh after his mark of 13.20m. Junior Thomas Imburgia (Machesney Park, Ill./Harlem) checked in with a distance of 12.36m, just ahead of the throw by freshman Brennan Culpepper (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South) at 12.30m.
- Sophomore Adam Turner (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) came away with the second-best throw of his career in the Weight Throw, taking seventh place at 13.82m. Freshman Jason Crowe (Worth, Ill./Shepard) also posted his second-best career mark, finishing ninth at 13.59m. Senior Drake Hayes (Minooka, Ill./Minooka Community) recorded a throw of 10.74m.
Saint Xavier finds out next week who officially qualified for the 2026 NAIA Men's Indoor Track & Field National Championships held from March 5-7 at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center at Celebration Pointe in Gainesville, Fla.
