Connor Whalen (Burbank, Ill./Reavis) set a new personal record (PR) in the Weight Throw, just missing the program record by .3 meters, with his second-place toss of 16.77m for the Saint Xavier University men's track & field team at the Walter Cramer Invite hosted by Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) Friday afternoon in Bourbonnais, Ill. It was Whalen's third time coming away with a second place finish this season, and he had a first-place throw, also at ONU, in December. Overall, the Cougars had seven other student-athletes earn Top 10 draws in their respective disciplines with a limited roster. No team scores were recorded.
- Freshman Logan Perak (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) made his debut in the 60m Dash, posting a time of 7.24 seconds. Senior Ryan McFadden (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park-River Forest) ran his second-best time of the season, crossing at 7.40 seconds. Freshman Brian McBride (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) also recorded his second-best mark of the year at 7.45 seconds.
- Freshman Josh Bosstel (Portage, Ind./Portage) ran in the 800m for the second time in 2025-26, logging a time of 2:10.62, similar to his mark in December (2:10.38), on the same track. Freshman Christian Orozco (Oak Lawn, Ill./Oak Lawn Community) debuted in the event, crossing at 2:17.87.
- Competing in the Mile, sophomore Carlos Villanueva (Summit, Ill./Argo Community) made his collegiate Indoor debut, clocking in at 5:38.41.
- Fifth-year senior Julian Rosenbach (Joliet, Ill./Joliet JC/Joliet West) came away with the second-best mark of his career in the 3000m, logging a time of 9:27.39. Sophomore Xavier Sananisai (Rockford, Ill./Jefferson) made his debut in the race, crossing at 9:50.27.
- Redshirt freshman Nick Gomez (Burbank, Ill./Wisconsin-Platteville/Reavis) registered a new PR in the Long Jump, placing sixth with a distance of 6.27m. Freshman Daniel Cabal (Mokena, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) logged his second-best jump of the season at 5.52m.
- Senior Riley Lundgren (Loves Park, Ill./Harlem) posted his third-best throw of the year in the Shot Put after placing fifth with a mark of 13.70m. Freshman Nickoles Lathem (Griffith, Ind./Calumet New Tech) was seventh overall with a new PR of 13.62m. Junior Thomas Imburgia (Machesney Park, Ill./Harlem) recorded a throw of 12.76m. Freshman Brennan Culpepper (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South) had a toss of 12.22m. Sophomore Luis Perez (Oak Lawn, Ill./Richards) PR'd for the second meet in a row, posting a throw of 11.65m. Senior Drake Hayes (Minooka, Ill./Minooka Community) finished with his fourth-furthest toss of the year at 11.63m.
- Also competing in the Weight Throw, freshman Jason Crowe (Worth, Ill./Shepard) placed sixth with a mark of 13.25m. Redshirt freshman Adam Turner (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) was next, logging his third-best throw of the year, finishing seventh at 13.21m. Hayes was ninth, posting his second-best career throw at 12.69m. Sophomore Nate Kalk (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) also logged his second-best career toss at 12.48m to place 10th. Latham joined his teammates with his second-best career mark at 12.36m. Junior Thomas Toefield (Oak Lawn, Ill./St. Laurence) came away with his third-furthest throw of the season at 10.17m. Perez recorded his second-best toss of his career at 10.12m.
