Livonia, Mich. – Competing at the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Meet hosted by Madonna University (Mich.), the Saint Xavier University dance team posted a total team score of 83.54 to place fifth out of seven teams Saturday afternoon at the Alliance Catholic Credit Union Arena in Livonia, Mich. Madonna University (Mich.) posted the top mark at 88.00. Aquinas College (Mich.) just finished ahead of the host Crusaders with a score of 88.75 to 88.58.
- SXU featured a lineup of senior Perla Leon (Chicago, Ill./Richards), junior Emily Hovanes (Manteno, Ill./Manteno Community), junior Kayeann Ventura (Tinley Park, Ill./Lincoln-Way East), sophomore Peyton Dobush (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way West), freshman Emmonie Lindsey (Crest Hill, Ill./Plainfield Central), freshman Aldo Pozos (Posen, Ill./Bremen) and freshman Cheyenne Rhoades (Oak Lawn, Ill./Homeschool).
- Marian University (Ind.) was third with a score of 88.33, followed by Siena Heights University (Mich.) with a mark of 85.20, the Cougars, Lourdes University in sixth with a score of 78.08 and Indiana Tech University with a total tally of 76.08.
Saint Xavier returns to Michigan to compete in the Saints Showdown, hosted by Aquinas, in Grand Rapids, Mich. on Saturday, February 14.
