CHICAGO – Four student-athletes from the Saint Xavier University dance team were named to the American Midwest Conference (AMC) All-Academic Team when the awards were announced by the league office after the conclusion of the AMC Championships Saturday afternoon. To qualify, a student-athlete must a have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher and be a sophomore or higher in academic standing. Junior
Kayeann Ventura (Tinley Park, Ill./Lincoln-Way East), was named the 2026 AMC Competitive Dance Champion of Character presented by Athletic Solutions for the Cougars as well.
- Sophomore Peyton Dobush (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way West) is a Nursing major, holding a 3.69 GPA.
- Junior Emily Hovanes (Manteno, Ill./Manteno Community) majors in Nursing and Psychology while maintaining a GPA of 3.45.
- Junior Fruitful Ojelabi (Lynwood, Ill./T.F. South) is also a Nursing major, sporting a 3.26 GPA in the classroom.
- Ventura carries a 3.88 GPA as a Biology major.
