Homer Glen, Ill. – The Saint Xavier University Men's Golf team tied with Trinity Christian College (Ill.) in match play at the Cal Sag Challenge Cup hosted by the Cougars Friday afternoon at Old Oak Country Club in Homer Glen, Ill. Both teams won twice and finished in a tie. As SXU won the match up last season, they retain the Cup.
- Sophomore Talon Hawk (Athens, Ohio/Morro Bay) competed against Ricardo Serpa, with Serpa winning 6&4.
- Junior Dan Stood (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) took on Parker Knight, and Knight finishing 1UP.
- Junior Joey Glennon (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) was pair with Dale Herman, and Glennon won 3&2.
- Freshman Thor Hock (Palos Park, Ill./Brother Rice) faced off against Tyler Wolterstorff, and the competitors finished in a tie
- Freshman Ryne Shields (Oak Lawn, Ill./Brother Rice) golfed against Jacob Houtsma, with Shields coming away with the win 8&6.
Saint Xavier returns to Old Oak Country Club to host the two-day SXU Invite beginning on Thursday, April 16.
