Connor Whalen (Burbank, Ill./Reavis) earned Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Men's Field Athlete of the Week and senior
Sean Harris (Blue Island, Ill./Eisenhower) claimed CCAC Track Athlete of the Week for the Saint Xavier University men's track & field team when the awards were announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon. The duo hit NAIA 'B' Standards in the Hammer and 200m, respectively, for the Cougars at the Chicagoland Championships last week at Elmhurst University in Elmhurst, Ill. It's the second time in three weeks that Whalen has won the award this Outdoor season. For Harris, it is his fourth CCAC Track Athlete of the Week this season, earning the distinction three times during the Indoor season.
- Whalen posted his second-best throw of the year, and second-furthest in team history, with a distance of 56.69m to claim first place. It was the second straight meet that he hit the NAIA 'B' Standard
- Harris won the 200m, clocking in at 21.11 seconds for his second-quickest career time, also the second-best mark in program history. He established a new personal record (PR) in the finals of the 110m Hurdles, crossing the finish line with a first-place time of 14.50 seconds.
