Sean Harris (Blue Island, Ill./Eisenhower) broke the school record in the finals of the 110m Hurdles after placing third with a time of 14.21 seconds, while junior
Brandon Ferguson (Rockford, Ill./Viterbo/Auburn) established a new personal record (PR) with a fourth-place draw in the race at 14.43 seconds as both runners hit the NAIA 'B' Standard for the Saint Xavier University men's track & field team at the 56
th annual Hillsdale 'Gina' Relays this weekend in Hillsdale, Mich. The pair also hit the NAIA 'B' Standard in the preliminaries as Harris had a time of 14.41 seconds, and Ferguson qualified at 14.47 seconds. Overall, the Cougars placed eighth out of 17 teams with a team score of 56.5. Host Hillsdale College (Mich.) had the top team score with 94.5 points, just ahead of runner-up Trine University (Ind.) at 91.5 points.
- Harris ran the second-fastest time in program history at 10.49 seconds to place second in the finals on the 100m Dash. He broke the team record with the top time in the prelims at 10.48 seconds. Junior Jamaurien Thomas (Chicago, Ill./Ogden International) came away with his second-best career time, crossing the finish line in 10.79 seconds. Junior Nazheer Moore (Lansing, Ill./T.F. South) posted his quickest time of the season at 10.94 seconds. Junior Jayquan Hampton (Chicago, Ill./Ogden International) set a new PR with a time of 11.25 seconds.
- Thomas booked his second-best time of the year in the 200m at 22.90 seconds. Moore clocked in at 23.50 seconds, while freshman LaShawn Scott (Oak Park, Ill./Eisenhower) made his debut in the event with a mark of 25.10 seconds.
- Competing in the 400m for the first time, Moore recorded a time of 50.97 seconds. Freshman Sam Elusoji (Broadview, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield) PR'd with his time of 51.96 seconds. Freshman Ben Gresham (Lansing, Ill./T.F. South) improved upon his PR by nearly three seconds at 54.69 seconds. Scott, also debuting in the race, logged a time of 55.72 seconds.
- In the 800m Open, freshman Josh Bosstel (Portage, Ind./Portage) posted his second-fastest time of the year at 2:06.28. Freshman Alex Hay (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) also came away with his second-quickest time in 2026 at 2:10.11, while sophomore Trey Maciejewski (Rensselaer, Ind./Rensselaer Central) crossed at 2:11.92.
- Senior Rohindeep Bhattal (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) ran his second-best time of the season in the 1500m Open at 4:07.97 to place third. Fifth-year senior Julian Rosenbach (Joliet, Ill./Joliet JC/Joliet West) booked his third-best career effort at 4:10.15 for a seventh-place draw. Junior Andy Damon (Crestwood, Ill./Oak Forest) toppled his old PR for the second week in a row, shaving nearly five seconds off his time last race at 4:14.72. Freshman Michal Wreczycki Jr. (Palos Park, Ill./Stagg) made his debut in the event, clocking in at 4:15.68. Sophomore Xavier Sananisai (Rockford, Ill./Jefferson) also bested his PR for the second consecutive meet, lowering his best by nearly four seconds to 4:19.98. Freshman Will Morrey (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) debuted in the race as well, booking a time of 4:27.75. Sophomore Joey Lagattolla (Romeoville, Ill./Plainfield East), running in the event for just the second time, checked in at 4:29.91.
- In the 400m Hurdles, Ferguson posted his second-quickest time of the year, placing seventh at 57.30 seconds.
- The 4x100 Relay team of Hampton, freshman Logan Perak (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg), Moore & Thomas finished in fourth place with a time of 43.10 seconds.
- In the 4x400 Relay, the group of Ferguson, Gresham, Bosstel & Sananisai took third with their time of 3:45.30.
- Two squads ran in the 4x800m Relay, the 'B' group of Sananisai, Rosenbach, Damon & senior Ben Morrey (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) finished in fourth with a mark of 8:22.70. The 'A' team of Wreczycki Jr, Bhattal, Maciejewski & Bosstel was fifth overall at 8:28.30.
- Freshman Daniel Cabal (Mokena, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) registered his second-best jump of the season in the Long Jump at 5.86m.
- Senior Riley Lundgren (Loves Park, Ill./Harlem) was the top thrower for the Cougars in the Shot Put Open with a 12th place throw of 12.37m. Senior Drake Hayes (Minooka, Ill./Minooka Community) came away with a new PR after his toss of 11.64m. Sophomore Adam Turner (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles) made his debut in the discipline, posting a distance of 11.61m.
- Junior Thomas Imburgia (Machesney Park, Ill./Harlem) recorded a toss of 40.16m to place seventh in the Discus Open. Freshman Brennan Culpepper (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South) had a ninth-place throw of 39.63m. Lundgren was 11th overall with a distance of 38.20m. Turner checked in at 34.16m, while freshman Jason Crowe (Worth, Ill./Shepard) had a mark of 33.10m. Sophomore Luis Perez (Oak Lawn, Ill./Richards) came away with a new PR with his distance of 31.89m.
- In the Hammer Open, Turner set a new PR with his throw of 43.92m to finish seventh. Freshman Nickoles Latham (Griffith, Ind./Calumet New Tech) booked his second-best toss of the season at 42.06m. Imburgia had a distance of 36.45m, followed by Crowe at 32.95m.
- Junior Connor Whalen (Burbank, Ill./Reavis) was the lone NAIA thrower in the Hammer Championship, placing seventh his distance of 53.43m.
- Perez also PR'd in the Javelin, posting the furthest throw for SXU at 40.31m to finish in sixth place. Sophomore Nate Kalk (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) was ninth overall with his mark of 37.05m. Crowe made his debut in the event, coming away with a distance of 34.23m. Junior Thomas Toefield (Oak Lawn, Ill./St. Laurence) logged his best throw of the season at 27.55m.
