Notre Dame, Ind. – Freshman Talon Hawk (Morro Bay, Calif./Morro Bay) tied for 19^th overall with a two-day score of 160 (+19) for the Saint Xavier University men's golf team at the Saints Classic hosted by Holy Cross College (Ind.) at Warren Golf Course in Notre Dame, Ind. on Tuesday. Hawk shot an 81 on day one, with a birdie on the Par-5 10^th hole, and he improved his score by two strokes on day two with a score of 79. Hawk's score did not contribute to the team score for the Cougars as he competed as an individual, along with fellow freshman, Patrick Glavin (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew).

Freshman Lincoln Chizmark (Joliet, Ill./Joliet West) had the best team score for SXU as he tied for 29^th with a two-day tally of 165 (+24). He birdied on the Par-four 16^th hole on Monday with a score of 84. He also made a birdie on the Par-five 17^th hole on Tuesday with a three-shot improvement, and score of 81. As a team, Saint Xavier placed eighth out of 11 teams with a team total of 658 (+94). Bethel University (Ind.) was the only team to shot under 600, winning the tournament with a score of 588 (+24). The Pilots also had the lowest individual, Jonah Kumfer, who won by 10 strokes over the runner-up with a total score of 138 (-3).

• Sophomore Ayden Dyson (Meridian, Idaho/Bishop Kelly) was one shot behind Chizmark, posting a two-day score of 166 (+25). He recorded consecutive rounds of 83 on both Monday and Tuesday. Dyson sank back-to-back birdies on day one on the Par-five 5^th hole and Par-four 6^th hole. He birdied the 6^th hole again on day two, along with birdies on the Par-four 12^th hole and the Par-four 18^th hole.
• Sophomore Dan Stood (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) finished with a total of 167 (+26). He drained a birdie putt on the Par-four 1^st hole in round one enroute to a card of 93. Stood shot 19-strokes better in round two after shooting a 74. He birdied on the Par-three 4^th hole, the 17^th hole and the 18^th hole.
• Senior Brendan Patton (Beverly, Ill./Holy Cross/Malcolm X/St. Rita) placed right by Stood with a two-day mark of 168 (+27). He shot an 82 on Monday with birdies on the 5^th, 16^th and 17^th holes, respectively. On Tuesday, Patton concluded the tournament with an 86.
• Sophomore Joey Glennon (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) had a 36-hole score of 176 (+35). He made a pair of birdies, on the 5^th and the Par-four 13^th holes, for a round of 85 on day one. Glennon sank a birdie on the 18^th hole and shot a round of 91 on day two.
• Glavin had a two-day score of 179 (+38). He turned in a card of 97 in round one, however he posted a 15-shot improvement in round two, including birdies on the Par-four 7^th and 17^th holes, finishing round two with a score of 82.

Saint Xavier concludes competition in the Fall and will return to action in the Spring semester.
