Normal, Ill. – Junior Dan Stood (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) tied for 28^th overall, shooting a 36-hole tally of 157 (+15) to help the Saint Xavier University Men's Golf team earn a seventh place finish out of 15 teams at the Illinois Central College Cougar Shootout Monday afternoon at Weibring Golf Course in Normal, Ill. Stood shot a round of 82 in his first loop, making a birdie putt on the Par-Four ninth hole. He shaved seven shots off his score in the second go-around as he made an Eagle putt on the Par-Five second hole. As a team, the Cougars had a total score of 326 (+78). Des Moines Area Community College (Iowa) won the tournament with a score of 291 (+27). Luke Bradley from Heartland Community College (Ill.) had the lowest individual score at 144 (+2).

• Sophomore Talon Hawk (Athens, Ohio/Morro Bay) was only three strokes behind his teammate, posting a score of 160 (+18), tying with five other golfers for 37^th. He made an Eagle putt on the second hole in the first round with a score of 78. Hawk sank three birdies in the second round, on the Par-Four first hole, the Par-Four 10^th hole and the Par-Five 13^th hole, for a score of 82.
• Freshman Thor Hock (Palos Park, Ill./Brother Rice) finished in a five-way tie for 49^th at 162 (+20). He shot a round of 79 to start the day, draining birdies on the first, second and 10^th holes. Hock sank two birdies in the afternoon, on the Par-Four fifth hole and again on the 10^th hole for a mark of 83.
• Junior Joey Glennon (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) was 72^nd overall with a two-round score of 170 (+28). He made birdies on the Par-Five sixth hole and the Par-15^th hole to begin the tournament, shooting a 91. Glennon improved his score by 12 strokes in the second loop, making Par on 13 holes.
• Freshman Ryne Shields (Oak Lawn, Ill./Brother Rice) tied for 78^th with a total of 174 (+32). He drained a birdie on the fifth hold in his first trip, collecting a score of 88. Shields took two shots off his score to end the day, carding a score of 86.
