Lemont, Ill. – The Saint Xavier University men's golf team finished 16
th out of 17 teams at the Lewis University (Ill.) Flyer Intercollegiate on the Dubsdread Course at Cog Hill in Lemont, Ill. Sophomore
Ayden Dyson (Meridian, Idaho/Bishop Kelly) was the top individual for the Cougars as he tied for 55
th with a two-day score of 161 (+17). Dyson shot a round of 77 on Monday and posted a round of 84 on Tuesday. NCAA Division III Aurora University (Ill.) won the tournament with a total score of 603 (+27), one shot ahead of runner-up NCAA Division II University of Wisconsin-Parkside and two shots better than No. 24 ranked Bellevue University (Neb.). Andrew Conrad from UW-Parkside shot the lowest individual score, finishing with a score of 145 (+1).
- Sophomore Dan Stood (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) tied for 69th overall with a score of 164 (+20). One day one, he recorded a round of 78 and he posted a day-two score of 86.
- Freshman Talon Hawk (Morro Bay, Calif./Morro Bay) finished in a tie for 79th with a total score of 169 (+25). He turned in a card of 81 after round one and he shot an 88 to conclude round two.
- Sophomore Joey Glennon (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) tied for 84th with a two-day tally of 171 (+27). He finished the first 18-hole loop with a score 84 and posted a score of 87 after his second loop.
- Freshman Lincoln Chizmark (Joliet, Ill./Joliet West) wasn't too far behind his teammate as he tied for 88th overall after posting a score of 173 (+29). Chizmark came away with a score of 81 on Monday and he finished the tournament with a 92 on Tuesday.
- Freshman Patrick Glavin (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) also competed in the tournament; however, he played as an individual and his score did not contribute to the overall team tally. He registered a two-day total of 177 (+33). Glavin recorded a round one mark of 93 but would shave nine shots off his score in the second round with a score of 84.
Saint Xavier returns to action on Monday, October 14 when they begin the two-day Saints Classic hosted by Holy Cross College (Ind.) at Warren Golf Course in Notre Dame, Ind.
