Wilmington, Ill. – The Saint Xavier University men's golf team concluded the 2023-24 season by finishing in sixth place out of nine teams at the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Championships Tuesday afternoon at Cinder Ridge Golf Course in Wilmington, Ill. The Cougars had a two-day and three-round total score of 984 (+120). Because of rain delaying the start of the tournament on Monday, only one round was played on day one. The final day featured 36 holes of golf with host Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) winning the tournament with a team score of 900 (+36) to earn an automatic berth into the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship Tournament that takes place from May 21-24 at Dalton Golf and Country Club in Dalton, Georgia. The Tigers also had the top individual as Jack Busch was the only participant to shoot under par for the tournament with a 54-hole tally of 215 (-1), eight shot better than the runner up.

• SXU was in fifth place after day one with a score of 326. They shot 327 in round two and 331 in round three.
• Freshman Ayden Dyson (Meridian, Idaho/Bishop Kelly) shot a round of 74 Monday afternoon and was in a three-way tie for second place. He shot an 84 to start Tuesday and Dyson improved by six strokes in his final loop to finish 14^th overall with a three-day total of 235 (+19).
• Junior Brendan Patton (Beverly, Ill./Holy Cross/Malcolm X/St. Rita) was consistent over 54 holes as he turned in scores of 81 in round one, 78 in round two and 79 in round three to place in a four-way tie for 15^th with a total of 238 (+22).
• Freshman Joey Glennon (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) shot a three-day total of 250 (+34) to finish 27^th. On Monday, he carded an 87. Glennon bounced back Tuesday morning with a nine-stroke improvement for a 78. He concluded the tournament with an 85 in round three.
• Freshman Dan Stood (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) finished 30^th overall with a total of 260 (+44). He completed the first loop with a day one tally of 84. On Tuesday, Stood shot a round of 87 in the morning and a round of 89 int the afternoon.
• Senior Miguel Madrigal (Evergreen Park, Ill./Moraine Valley/Evergreen Park) collected a three-round score of 314 (+98) to place 39^th. He shot a day-one score of 100, followed by a 109 in round two and lowered his score by four shots in the final round with a card of 105.
