Silvis, Ill. – Sophomore Ayden Dyson (Meridian, Idaho/Bishop Kelly) finished in a tied for 36^th place after recording a two-day score of 154 (+11) for the Saint Xavier University men's golf team at the NAIA National Preview hosted by St. Ambrose University (Iowa) at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. that concluded Tuesday afternoon. Dyson shot a round of 77 on Monday, and he followed that up with a score of 76 on day two. The Cougars registered a team score of +71, while Mount Mercy University (Iowa) won the tournament by two strokes (+14) over No. 9 Marian University (Ind.) (+16). Theo Baker from Mount Mercy had the best individual score after he shot six under par with a score of 136.

• Sophomore Joey Glennon (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) was in a four-way tie for 61^st with a two-day total of 160 (+18). He turned in a card of 79 after day one and Glennon shot an 81 on Tuesday afternoon.
• Sophomore Dan Stood (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) was one of nine players to tie for 80^th overall after posting a score of 165 (+23). He finished the first 18-hole loop with a mark of 83 and Stood lowered his day-two score by a shot after a round of 82.
• Freshman Lincoln Chizmark (Joliet, Ill./Joliet West) tied for 93^rd with a total score of 167 (+25). He shot a round of 79 on Monday afternoon and finished the tournament with a score of 88 on Tuesday.
• Freshman Talon Hawk (Morro Bay, Calif./Morro Bay) placed in a four-way tie for 101^st with a total score of 170 (+28). He tallied a mark of 84 in round one and had a score of 86 after day two.

Saint Xavier will take part in the two-day Flyer Intercollegiate hosted by Lewis University (Ill.) that begins on Monday, October 7 on the Dubdread Golf Course at Cog Hill in Lemont, Ill.
