Wesley Chapel, Fla. – The Saint Xavier University men's golf team started the Spring portion of its schedule by taking part in the three-day Saddlebrook Spring Kickoff hosted by Walsh University (Ohio) this week at the Saddlebrook Golf Resort in Wesley Chapel, Fla. The Cougars finished sixth out of six teams with a score of +185, NCAA Division II Missouri University of Science and Technology won the tournament with a score of +36. Sophomore Ayden Dyson (Meridian, Idaho/Bishop Kelly) was the top finisher for SXU, placing 24^th with a three-day total of 250 (+37). He made a birdie putt on the Par Five fifth hole and he parred on six other holes with a score of 83 to start the event. On Day Two Dyson posted a score of 88, draining a birdie on the Par 5 14^th hole, and making par seven times, including holes two through six. He finished Thursday with a nine-stroke improvement with a round of 79, sinking birdies on the fifth hole, the 14^th hole and the Par Five 18^th hole. Dyson made par on six other holes on the final day.

• Freshman Lincoln Chizmark (Joliet, Ill./Joliet West) tied for 33^rd with a three-day tally of 261 (+48). He turned in a card of 83 on Day One, making birdies on the Par Four 11^th hole, the Par Three 12^th hole and the 14^th hole. Chizmark made par on five other holes. On Wednesday he shot a round of 94, making par on four holes. Chizmark lowered his scored by 10 strokes to 84 in round three by sinking four birdies. He did so on the fifth hole, the Par Three eighth hole, the 14^th hole and the 18^th hole, along with par on two other holes.
• Sophomore Joey Glennon (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) placed 36^th overall with a 54-hole score of 267 (+54). He shot a round of 101 on Tuesday, making a birdie on the Par Three third hole and making par on the Par 4 sixth hole. Glennon lowered his score by 19 shots on Day Two, finishing the loop with a score of 82. He drained four birdies (the third hole, the eighth hole, the 14^th hole and the Par Four 16^th hole) and parring on three other holes. Glennon shot an 84 to conclude the tournament, making birdies on the Par Four 11^th hole and the 14^th hole. He made par on six other holes.
• Sophomore Dan Stood (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) was 38^th with a three-day score of 271 (+58). He shot a round of 88 to start the tournament, sinking a birdie on the 5^th hole and making par seven times. Stood turned in a card of 91 on the second day as he made par of five holes. He recorded a score of 92 on the final day, making a birdie putt on the 11^th hole and also parring four times.
• Freshman Talon Hawk (Morro Bay, Calif./Morro Bay) finished 39^th with a total score of 281 (+68). He began the tournament with a round one score of 93, draining a birdie on the sixth hole and making par twice. Hawk shot a 99 on Wednesday, making par puts on three holes. He capped the week with a 10-stroke improvement with an 89 after the final round, making par eight times.
• Freshman Patrick Glavin (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) placed 40^th with a three-day score of 285 (+72). He shot 95 on Tuesday with pars on four holes. Glavin lowered his score by two shots on the second day with a 93, making par three times. He turned in a card of 97 after the final round, hitting par on four holes.

Saint Xavier travels to Peoria, Ill. to compete in the two-day Cougar Spring Preview hosted by Illinois Central College that begins on Saturday, March 22 at Weaver Ridge Golf Course.
