Crete, Ill. – The Saint Xavier University women's golf team concluded the 2024-25 season after placing fifth out of five teams at the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Tournament Championships Thursday afternoon at Lincolnshire Country Club in Crete, Ill. The Cougars finished with a two-day score of 827 (+251). St. Ambrose University (Iowa) won the tournament and earned an automatic berth into the NAIA Women's Golf National Championships at Eagle Crest Golf Club in Ypsilanti, Mich. starting on May 13. The individual winner, Lizzie Howard from Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.), shot a two-round score of 168 (+24), three shots better than the runner-up, to earn a bid to nationals to compete as an individual.
- Freshman Brooke Visser (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) just missed placing in the Top 10 by four shots, totaling a 36-hole score of 184 (+40), for a 12th place draw. She shot a round of 88 on Wednesday, making par five times. Visser tallied a score of 96 on Thursday, parring on three holes.
- Sophomore Maddie Davis (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) was just two shots behind her teammate, finishing in a tie for 14th place with a final score of 186 (+42). She finished the first 18-hole loop with a score of 92 with a par score on six holes. Davis completed the second loop with a score of 94, making a birdie on the Par Five 12th hole and making par on two other holes.
- Sophomore Isabella Tor (Lockport, Ill./Lockport Township) was 25th overall with a two-round score of 219 (+75). She shot a round of 107 on day one, making par twice. Tor turned in a card of 112 on day two, making par on the eighth hole.
- Sophomore Emma Willis (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) placed 29th with a total score of 238 (+94). She shot duplicate rounds of 119 on both the first and second day, respectively. On Thursday, Willis parred the third hole.
