Silvis, Ill. – The Saint Xavier University men's golf team concluded the 2024-25 season with a sixth place finish out of nine teams at the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Men's Golf Championships at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. The Cougars played 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday recording a team score of 1,034 (+182). Sophomore
Ayden Dyson (Meridian, Idaho/Bishop Kelly) posted the top individual score for SXU, tying for 18
th with a three-day mark of 254 (+41). Host St. Ambrose University (Iowa) won the tournament with a score of 955 (+103) to earn an automatic berth into the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship Tournament also played at TPC Deere Run from May 20-23. The Fighting Bees had the top individual as well, with Dylan McAleer shooting a three-round tally of 229 (+16), winning by one stroke.
- Dyson started Monday with a round of 90, making a birdie putt on the Par Four 13th hole. He lowered his second-round score by two shots with an 88. Dyson was impressive in the final round as he made par on 13 holes for a score of 76.
- Sophomore Dan Stood (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) finished 22nd with a three-day score of 258 (+45). He shot a score of 90 in his first 18-hole loop; however, he lowered his score by six strokes with an 84 in his second go-round. Stood drained a pair of birdies on the Par Four eighth hole and on the 13th hole. He concluded the tournament with another round of 84.
- Freshman Talon Hawk (Morro Bay, Calif./Morro Bay) registered a 54-hole score of 262 (+49) for a 27th place draw. He started the event with a round of 95, though he improved his score in round two by 12 shots with an 83 as he made three birdies. Hawk made back-to-back birdie putts on the Par Four first and Par Five second holes, while also knocking in a birdie on the eighth hole.
- Sophomore Joey Glennon (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) contributed to the team score in round one, but competed as an individual in the final two rounds. He was 31st overall with a total score of 272 (+59). Glennon shot an 85 Monday morning, making a birdie on the Par Four fifth hole. He finished Monday with a score of 95. Glennon posted a score of 91 on Tuesday, hitting back-to-back birdies on the 13th and Par Four 14th holes, respectively.
- Freshman Lincoln Chizmark (Joliet, Ill./Joliet West) was disqualified in the first round; however, he was able to compete on Tuesday. He shot a round of 82 (+11) on the final day, sinking a birdie putt on the Par Three seventh hole.
- Freshman Patrick Glavin (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew) only competed in round two, recording a score of 93 (+22).
