Rock Island, Ill. – Sophomore Lincoln Chizmark (Joliet, Ill./Joliet West) shot a two-day score of 143 (71, 72) to finish one under in a three-way tie for 11^th place for the Saint Xavier University men's golf team at the Augustana University (Ill.) Highland Championship at Highland Springs Municipal Golf Course this weekend in Rock Island, Ill. Chizmark sank four birdies during round one Sunday afternoon: doing so on the Par-4 fifth hole, the Par-5 11^th hole and making back-to-back birdie putts on the Par-4 14^th and Par-5 15^th holes. In round two on Monday, he made three birdie putts: on the Par-5 second hole, the Par-3 fourth hole and on the 11^th hole. As a team, the Cougars tied for seventh place with 21 teams competing, totaling a two-day tally of 593 (298, 295). Millikin University (Ill.) won the team title by 31 strokes over runner-up St. Ambrose University (Iowa) with a score of 546 to 577. Millikin also had the top individual scorer, Trevor Biggerstaff, who had a two-round mark of nine under (63, 72).

• Junior Dan Stood (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) was one shot behind his teammate, shooting 144 (70, 74), for even par. He was two-under after the first day, draining five birdies: on the second hole, the fifth hole, the Par-5 sixth hole, the Par-4 ninth hole and the 11^th hole. On the second day, Stood birdied the Par-4 first hole, the fifth hole and the Par-5 15^th hole. He carded an Eagle on the 11^th hole to highlight the afternoon.
• Junior Joey Glennon (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) placed in a tie for 41^st with his 36-hole score of 150 (78, 72), finishing at plus six. He made three birdies in round one: on the Par-3 third hole, the ninth hole and the 11^th hole. Glennon improved his score by six strokes on Monday after he made birdies on the third, 11^th and Par-4 16^th hole, while making par on 12 other holes.
• Sophomore Talon Hawk (Athens, Ohio/Morro Bay) finished plus 14 after a two-day tally of 158 (79, 79). He made a birdie putt on the third hole during round one.
• Freshman Thor Hock (Palos Park, Ill./Brother Rice) made his collegiate debut, also shooting a two-round score of 158 (81, 77). He birdied the Par-4 12^th hole on Sunday and lowered his score by four shots on Monday with birdies on the third, sixth and 11^th holes.
• Freshman Ryne Shields (Oak Lawn, Ill./Brother Rice) tied for 97^th with a total score of 161 (82, 79) finishing plus 17. He made three birdies on day one: on the fourth, 11^th and Par-3 17^th holes. Shields shaves three shots off his score on day two, with birdies on the second, ninth and 11^th holes.

Saint Xavier makes its way to Metamora, Ill. to compete in the two-day Illinois Central College Cougar Fall Classic at Metamora Fields Golf Course that begins on Monday, September 8 with tee-times starting at 9:00 am.
