Saint Xavier Football Helps on PAWS for Service Day

CHICAGO – This past Saturday, the Saint Xavier University football team helped out at the PAWS for Service Day at the Shannon Center. PAWS for Service Day is a campus-wide event that is organized every March to serve wisely and compassionately in support of human dignity and the common good, according to the closing phrases of the university's mission statement. This year the day feel on Saturday, March 21.

Head coach Mike Feminis had this to say, "It's always good to give back and help those families in our community who are less fortunate. We're happy and thankful to do our part."

The team also announced its Spring ball schedule, beginning on Friday, March 27 leading up to the Spring Scrimmage on Friday, April 24.

"The guys are definitely itching to get back on the field and play some football after 10 weeks of winter strength and conditioning," Feminis said. "We've got a number of them who will be competing for starting jobs and playing time in the fall, including our eight spring transfers, so I'm excited to see how things unfold in these next four weeks."
